I don’t know about you, but Spring feels like such a humbling time of the year. There’s this eager pull to get outside—especially when the sun is blazing—and start all the projects that brewed over the winter. I want to feel the warmth on my skin, stretch out, and move forward. That hustle, oh how easy it is to get lost in it so quickly….
And then…the rain comes.
It lingers, softens the pace, mists throughout the day. It gently reminds me: slowww down. This isn’t Winter to Summer in one big leap. Spring still asking to stay rooted, to stretch slowly, tenderly.
When I can drop into that rhythm, I unfold into the beauty it’s offering. I remember—it’s Rainbow Season! The time when the magic returns. So, as the soft mist kisses the new starts within the earth and the morning dew fills cups on the leaves to drink from, I take a step back and fill my days with a softer approach.
(( Apologies for my dirty fingernails ;) )
In that spirit of slowness and savoring, I’m sharing one of my favorite Spring morning meals: a Slow Morning Frittata. Filled with early soft greens, flavorful herbs, citrus, and whatever the garden (or market) has to offer.
